NHL.....The Toronto Maple Leafs were 4-3 overtime losers last night to the New Jersey Devils who've won four straight, while the "Buds" have lost six of the ten games they've played so far this month......the Montreal Canadiens were blanked 3-0 by Dallas at the Bell Centre as Stars' netminder Kari Lehtonen made thirty-one saves for the shutout leaving the Habs with only one victory in their last five contests.....the Winnipeg Jets were shaded 5-4 in overtime by the visiting Philadelphia Flyers, snapping the home team's winning streak at three, but the O-T point leave the Jets tied with the Leafs in eighth place in the East.....the Edmonton Oilers erupted for four goals in the second period enroute to drubbing the Calgary Flames 6-1, and snapping an ugly ten game losing slide at the Saddledome........the Vancouver Canucks lost 3-1 to the Predators in Nashville.....and......the Buffalo Sabres got by the visiting New York Islanders, 2-1......Tonight, the Ottawa Senators will be looking for their fourth consecutive win when they host the Washington Capitals who've lost two straight.
AHL.......The Hamilton Bulldogs are on the road to play the Grand Rapids Griffins, tonight.
OHL.....The Niagara IceDogs are home to the Saut Ste Marie Greyhounds tonight. Game time is 7:00.

JUNIOR "B" HOCKEY.....The Kitchener Dutchmen were beaten 5-2 at home by the Listowel Cyclones last night as the visitors scored three power play goals.....and......the St-Catharines Falcons lost 5-2 at home to the Niagara Falls Canucks who went two-for-three with the extra man......Tonight, the London Nationals host the St-Marys Lincolns, starting at 7:00.
JUNIOR "C" PLAYOFFS......The Simcoe Storm visit the Norwich Merchants tonight.....and.....the Caledonia Corvairs play the Rangers in Glanbrook.....Both games start at 7:30, and both second round series are tied at one win each.
AT THE SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS, WOMEN'S NATIONAL CURLING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN RED DEER, ALBERTA......Heading into today's action there's a three-way tie atop the tournament standings with Team Canada, British Columbia, and Manitoba sporting records of 5-and-2......Hot on their heels are New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Quebec, who all have 4-and-3 records.
